Counting down to 2027: the ultimate campervan roadtrip
The countdown is officially on! Next year, I am taking a full six-month sabbatical to embark on a dream road trip: a massive campervan journey across the British Isles, Ireland, and Scandinavia.
It’s going to be a slow-paced, immersive adventure focusing on coastal landscapes, rugged nature, idyllic little towns and scenic routes, keeping daily driving distances short to truly soak in every destination. Here is a look at what is currently planned and how the preparations are taking shape.
First Stop – Ireland: Crossing over from France directly into the south of Ireland to begin the journey along the iconic Wild Atlantic Way.
Next Chapters: Continuing through the British Isles before making the crossing over to explore the fjords, forests, and wild coastlines of Scandinavia.
Travel Style: The focus is on quality over speed. By keeping daily travel distances manageable, there’s plenty of time for spontaneous detours and relaxing evenings at campsites.
What’s Next?
With the main route outlined and key logistics in place, the focus now shifts to fine-tuning day-to-day spots along the coast and getting the camper fully packed and prepped. Stay tuned for more updates as departure day gets closer!
